Gold’n Plump Chicken
After the design team at Haberman finish the layout and design, it was my part to make an initial proof for color and consult with the client for this billboard among several other items to go with this campaign. We retouched the chicken packages and fine tuned the typography with a couple rounds. I even suggested to add something to the top of all the packages to define the edge to make it more distinct where the package end and where the background of the ads began since they were also on an orange background. Even though the sky clearly defines it, we applied the same effect to the cut-out just to remain consistent. Once approved it was my job quality check it against the specs before going to print and uploading the files and communicating with Clear Channel.
Back page of the Star Tribune Value paper on Saturday morning, I spy my first colored newsprint half page ad that I helped fine tune color on type, background watermark and assemble and proof for color and quality.
